The Peru Section of The Combustion Institute (PSCI) is a non-governmental, non-profit scientific organization. The main goal of the PSCI is to promote combustion science and technology by (i) organizing events (e.g., conferences, symposia or workshops), lectures, and meetings in Peru, (ii) collaborating with other sections of The Combustion Institute (CI) to facilitate knowledge exchange between scientists and engineers working on combustion, (iii) supporting the publication of technical papers pertaining to combustion science and technology, and (iv) sponsoring activities that disseminate combustion-related knowledge and support the training of combustion scientists and engineers.
About the PSCI
Board of Officers
Dr. Cesar Celis holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (UNI, Peru, 2002), a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (PUC-Rio, Brazil, 2006), and a PhD in Propulsion Systems (Cranfield University, UK, 2010). With over 20 years of experience in R&D projects, he currently works as a Full Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Section of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). His main fields of research include complex flows, turbulent combustion, and clean energy. Dr. Celis has published dozens of works in the fields of applied aerodynamics, gas turbines, and turbulent combustion in various scientific journals and international conferences. Finally, he hopes that his contributions in the energy field will help reduce the impact of energy systems on health and the environment.
